GRIP is an initiative of Wycliffe Australia and EQUIP Training. The normal programme begins with six months of training followed by up to two years serving overseas. The training starts each January and covers a range of subjects areas including linguistics, literacy, inter-cultural studies and language learning. For Australian students Wycliffe Australia will match you with a field team who has need of your skills, and will devise a programme that specifically prepares you for that role. Overseas students will need to contact Wycliffe in their home country to determine what options exist for the field assignment stage. Successful completion of the pre-field training, the field project and the research project elective will result in you being awarded a Graduate Diploma of Language Description and Development.
